What is Natural Capital?

This project set out to make the complex concept of Natural Capital - the assets and resources provided by nature that underpin over 50% of global GDP - clear and engaging.
I streamlined dense content into a visually-led story, breaking down definitions, relationships, and examples in
a way that was easy to grasp.

I created the core infographic concept and illustration style, drawing on the revival of botanical and scientific illustration trends. The hand-drawn, organic textures added authenticity and a human touch, making the work distinctive and visually compelling. The final design turned a technical sustainability topic into a clear, memorable story.

Natural Capital - Social Animations

To extend the reach of the project, I storyboarded and directed a series of animations based on the infographic style. These were designed specifically for social channels, breaking down the key ideas into short, digestible moments that could engage audiences quickly.

Working with an animator for the technical execution, I provided the storyboards, art direction, and creative oversight to ensure the animations stayed true to the hand-drawn botanical style and overall narrative.

The result was a cohesive suite of assets - a detailed infographic supported by social-first animations - that made an otherwise technical sustainability subject clear, engaging and visually distinctive.
